Back to 'normal' . . . .

. . . whatever that is!!

I've seen the surgeon, who has given me three months to lose as much weight as I can before he does the bypass surgery. I don't know a date yet, but it will be sometime in January.
Suddenly, now my life depends on it, I am having no trouble at all sticking to a diet!

The sunbird is progressing very well. I've finished all the loose bits for the fuchsias (although I have a feeling I shall need more leaves than I have done) and the bird, so all I have to do now, is decide what frame I'm putting it in so I can do the embroidery on the background fabric, prior to mounting the bird etc.
Need to motivate DB to get my frames down for me.

I'm off to visit my girls next Tuesday. The Scotsman and GNER are running a special, so for the price of two newspapers I was able to get a £20 return to London. I've left time to do my own thing (like revisit the textile department in the V&A) while the girls are at work and still have the weekend with them. Then mid November I'm off to visit my cousin for the weekend. They're outside Birmingham, so it's a part of the world I haven't really been to.

Kids are on school holiday, again!
What fun.
Moo.
